My name is Rebecca Ferreira (Fuh-rare-uh). I was born and raised in Massachusetts but moved with my family to Orlando, Florida in 2005. It was the best choice we ever made!

       Our 3 amazing children and our daughter in law all graduated from Florida Universities (FSU and USF). I did my graduate work in education at the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

       My husband of 33 years is now retired. He spends a lot of time with our 2 amazing grandchildren.

       I taught 2nd grade in Orlando (Orange County Public Schools) for many years before coming to Manatee County in 2019. I have taught kindergarten, first & second grade in this county. I am very excited to be a Harvey Shark!! It is going to be an amazing year!
